Terms of Service
Version: Beta v1.0 · Effective: 2026-09-22 · Last updated: 2026-09-22
This product is currently in private beta and these are the beta terms. They will be reviewed by legal counsel and re-versioned before general commercial release. By applying for or using the service you agree to these terms and to the
Privacy Policy. This English text is provided for convenience; where the English and
Chinese versions differ, the Chinese version prevails.
1. The service
MailInBrief is provided by 途似锦(厦门)电子商务有限公司 (“we”, “us”). It is an email business-analysis tool for companies: it connects in read-only mode to the mailboxes your company authorises, identifies business facts such as new enquiries, order updates and matters needing follow-up, and presents them on a business dashboard.
MailInBrief is a management aid. It is not a CRM, a task system or an automated business decision system.
2. Accounts and authorisation
- The company administrator account is created by us when the service is activated, and the initial password must be changed at first login. Keep the account secure; actions taken under it are treated as actions of your company;
- Your company confirms that it holds the lawful rights and authorisation to the data in the connected mailboxes, including any necessary consent from the employees concerned;
- Mailbox access is IMAP read-only access, and your company may disconnect it at any time.
3. Nature of AI results
- AI output is a summary and classification of the facts in your email and may be incomplete or inaccurate; the system provides a “needs your review” step for emails it is unsure about;
- Business decisions (quoting, contracting, shipping, payment and so on) remain your company's own judgement and responsibility; AI results are for reference only.
4. Data processing
- Data is collected, used, stored and deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy;
- Email content that meets the analysis criteria is submitted to a large language model on Alibaba Cloud Model Studio for analysis; this processing takes place in mainland China;
- Disconnecting a mailbox deletes its connection credentials; after an organisation's data is deleted, backup copies expire with the backup retention period.
5. Acceptable use
- The service may not be used for any unlawful purpose, and no mailbox may be connected without the right to access it;
- Unauthorised penetration testing, scraping, reverse engineering or interference with the service is not permitted;
- We may suspend or terminate the service for breach of this clause.
6. Fees
The service is free of charge during the beta. Fees and the service term for the commercial version are as set out in the order or agreement your company signs with us or with a partner authorised by us. We will give advance notice before the beta becomes a paid service, and no charge will be made without your company's confirmation. Fees for a service period already paid for are not affected by later adjustments.
7. Availability and limitation of liability
- During the beta the service is provided “as is”. We make reasonable efforts to keep it available but do not promise uninterrupted service;
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, and our liability for direct loss is capped at the fees your company has actually paid for the service (during the free beta, a cap of RMB 1,000).
8. Changes and termination
- Your company may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of its data;
- Updates to these terms will be published on this page, and material changes will be notified separately;
- These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute that cannot be settled by negotiation shall be submitted to the competent People's Court in Jimei District, Xiamen.
